This metadata element ‘Responsible organisation metadata: role’ contains the role of the organisation that is responsible for metadata. There may be more organisations with different roles involved in a dataset. An organisation may also have more than one role. A list of codes is used for the role of an organisation; but point of contact can always be used as a default.

Possible values are;
