Overview of metadata elements for services

The metadata element ‘Keyword value’ contains generally used words or formalised sentences to describe a service. These may be keywords from a thesaurus, but may also be keywords that are defined by the user. More than one keyword may be used; however it is not an exhaustive list.

At least one category or subcategory should be indicated for services from the list of codes 1.3.2 of MD_IR_and_ISO. For INSPIRE the GEMET thesaurus is used. This list of codes will soon be added to the GEMET thesaurus: http://www.eionet.europa.eu/gemet

The value infoMapAccessServicecan be applied for WMS. At least infoFeatureAccessService should be indicated for WMS. This can be a default.

Example; infoMapAccessService

Capabilities element; /WFS_Capabilites/ServiceIdentification/*/Keyword/*
